Chris is an accomplished Exercise Physiologist with a robust academic background and extensive practical experience in the field of clinical exercise physiology. He holds a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology with Honours, having graduated from the University of Queensland in June 2020.

Since completing his undergraduate studies, Chris has been actively contributing to the field as an Exercise Physiologist at START Training. Specialising in athlete hip, knee, and ankle conservative and surgical rehabilitation, along with expertise in adolescent growth-related conditions, Chris places significant emphasis on facilitating the return to performance in field and court sports. His expertise extends to designing tailored rehabilitation programs that address the unique needs of athletes undergoing both conservative and surgical interventions.

In 2023, Chris further expanded his knowledge and skill set by graduating from the Graduate Certificate in Exercise Rehabilitation for Sports Injuries at the Australian Catholic University. This postgraduate coursework has equipped him with advanced techniques and strategies, enabling him to work effectively with athletes across various age groups, from children to masters. His focus lies in specific sporting and developmental injury rehabilitation, contributing to the overall well-being and performance enhancement of his clients.

He has undertaken a Higher Research Degree at the University of Queensland in 2023 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy. Currently a Master of Philosophy candidate, Chris is conducting research in the intersection of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology. His project, titled ‘Understanding impairments and management of growth-related injuries in adolescent athletes,’ is aimed at reducing the burden and impact of conditions that affect children and young people who play sports.

Chris is a consultant to various high-performance centres and representative sporting clubs. His specialised areas of expertise include adolescent sporting related conditions and sports surgical and conservative Injury Rehabilitation (ACL and ankle sprains). Chris's multifaceted expertise positions him as an asset in promoting the health and performance of athletes at various stages of their careers.

Not only does Chris excel as an Exercise Physiologist, but he also serves as a managing practitioner at START Training, playing a pivotal role in the growth and development of fellow practitioners within the organisation and the broader field. Tasked with mentoring and guiding other professionals, Chris actively contributes to cultivating a dynamic and knowledgeable team. His leadership extends to liaising with several Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports Physicians, and other allied health professionals, fostering collaborative relationships that enhance the comprehensive care provided to clients. Chris also tutors third-year students at the University of Queensland on musculoskeletal exercise prescription, offering practical guidance for designing tailored exercise programs. Chris's commitment to advancing the expertise of his colleagues and students underscores his dedication to elevating the standards of clinical exercise physiology and promoting a holistic approach to client well-being.
